“Watch me”.
After coming from Antwerp, Belgium we decided to try and make another exchange to continue our work together. On our Facebook page you can follow us from the beginning and see how we all are coming together, making projects and hoping to change the future both coaches and youngsters!
The goal of the project „young and creative entrepreneurs“ is it to strengthen and develop the ideas and experiences we made on the conference in Antwerp “Bridges to work”. After this conference the young people were very motivated to keep on to the theme “Youth unemployment and entrepreneurship in Europe”. That`s why they created a group in the social network “Facebook”. There they talked about their ideas, visions and experiences. The “so called” coaches were also involved into this group and so they also discussed and developed ideas to continue the activities which started in Belgium. This highly dynamic and motivation was the reason for the application.
The project is based on the following two considerations “Nothing about us – without us” and the attitude of “Yes, we can and get out of the box”. During the exchange the young people will work on the idea of “young and creative entrepreneurship”. With different methods of non-formal learning, intensive debates with freelancers and – with the help of business experts – the young people will create their own business plans. Practical exercises to the topic of “selling and presenting ideas and goods” plus a “political conference at the end” will help to keep up and develop the spirit of Antwerp.
The “political event” will host different stakeholders, like local and regional decision makers, local and regional entrepreneurs, researchers, professionals from youth work and social youth work, staff from administrations and job centers and also some other young people (who were not involved into the development). The “political conference” (methodically and conceptually) will be - and this differs from Antwerp- planned and carried out by the participants themselves (Nothing about us – without us!)
“Young and Creative Entrepreneurs” will take place in the region of Rheinland - Pfalz from the 25th to the 31st of March. The partner countries involved are Austria, Croatia, Georgia, Hungary, Island, Spain, France, Poland, Lithuania, Sweden, Great Britain, Slovenia, Ireland and Germany.
